（亚庇2日讯）来自沙巴和西马共11名佳丽将于今晚在沙巴国际会展中心角逐2024年大马世界小姐头衔。

州旅游、文化及环境部助理部长拿督佐尼斯顿邦奎表示，这已经是主办方第三次选择在沙巴举行大马世界小姐决赛，今年更有4名沙巴佳丽入围决赛。

他特别感谢主办人王富华博士的远见与热情以及世界小姐选美大赛联合会主席朱莉娅莫利的支持，将大马世界小姐选美赛再次带到沙巴，为沙巴提供一个向世界展示沙巴独特魅力、文化和热情好客的难得机会。

“王富华多次来沙巴并非常了解沙巴，他的公司甚至制作了系列宣导片并在爱奇艺播放，点击率破百万而且预计将获得奖项，这显示出人们对沙巴的浓厚兴趣。”

佐尼斯顿出席主办方举行的新闻发布会后，这么表示。

他说，佳丽们在这段期间走访沙巴多个景点，这将有助于进一步推广沙巴及其独特的旅游吸引力。

他说，“以美丽为使命”是世界小姐选美的核心理念，这个愿景与我国特别是在沙巴所秉持的价值观高度契合。

“通过这个平台，我们看到年轻女性敢于担任领导角色，倡导重要的事业，不仅展现她们的美丽，更展现她们的智慧、爱心与决心。”

新闻发布会出席者有HyperLive娱乐总裁王富华及合办方晟创娱乐创办人林锦成、2023年大马世界小姐莎洛洛西及11名决赛佳丽。

王富华表示，佳丽们在沙巴进行一连串活动，包括清洁海滩、出席海洋保护讲座、时尚秀、社区捐赠活动以及丰富的旅游体验，如骑马、沙滩越野和观赏萤火虫。

“佳丽们也与非营利组织SEEDS合作，开展心理健康意识讲座，并与多方合作展示沙巴的独特魅力。”
